Today's baseball game in Southwest has been cancelled.

March is Youth Art Month—a time to celebrate the creativity and talent of students across our state! 🎨
Each year, art educators are invited to submit up to four pieces of student artwork to showcase the incredible work happening in their schools. We’re proud to have our students represented in this special tradition.
As part of the celebration, students and their families were invited to the Missouri State Capitol for a recognition ceremony. While there, they had the opportunity to visit with State Representative Mitch Boggs and explore the Capitol, including the Whispering Gallery and the Capitol dome.
Congratulations to all of our student artists for their hard work and creativity!

📣 Attention MS/HS Families & Student Athletes!
Cox Mobile will be on campus May 12th offering sports physicals and required vaccinations for students.
🏈 Sports Physicals
• Cost: $25
• If payment is a concern, please reach out to coach or Nurse Barchak.
• Physicals are valid for 2 years

💉 Required Vaccinations Available
• 6th & 7th graders: TDaP & MCV (required by start of 8th grade)
• Sophomores (16 and older) and Juniors: MCV (required by start of senior year)
🩺 Insurance & Payment Info for Vaccines
• Medicaid or no insurance: FREE through the Vaccines for Children program
• Commercial insurance: billed to insurance (any copays will be billed to parents)

📄 Important:
Physical forms and vaccination forms are required to be filled out by parent or guardian. Students can pick up forms at the HS office.

🎓📸Senior Parents: YEARBOOK Senior Spotlight 📸🎓
Dedicate a spot in this year’s yearbook to your senior with a Senior Spotlight.
Send a few photos and a message to your graduate to the yearbook editors, or design your own spotlight, to show how proud you are of their accomplishment.
Senior Spotlight reservations are due by April 25 to ensure there is enough space in the yearbook. Payment and final designs are due by May 8.

Miss Wells’ 7th grade students wrapped up a fun and engaging project where they researched different countries in Africa and created their own restaurants based on the traditional foods and culture of each country! 🌍🍽️
Some students even brought their menus to life by making food. During 2nd hour, they enjoyed Nigerian and Ethiopian desserts along with tea—what a great way to experience culture firsthand!

🎓 Seniors — a few important reminders as we get closer to graduation!

• Submit 3 baby pictures and 3 senior pictures to Miss Brown for the senior slideshow. Be sure to let her know which baby picture and which senior picture you want used in the yearbook.

• Reply to Ms. Shockley’s Senior Spotlight email by Friday, April 25th. Your spotlight should include:
– A senior picture
– Your favorite Pierce City teacher (prek-12th grade)
– Your favorite class
– High school activities and accomplishments
– Your plans after graduation

• Make sure all library books are returned or paid for and that your lunch balance is taken care of.

• If you have received any scholarships, please let Mrs. Cogburn or Mrs. Lathem know.
