Our goal is to communicate early and often with all district stakeholders
As a district, we are committed to ensuring that all stakeholders are connected to our district through consistent communication about their specific programs, activities and classrooms.
Website: The district website is designed to be a resource for staff, families, students and community members. The district website is managed by the technology coordinator.
Mass Notifications: The district has a mass notification system to send rapid messages (text or calls) to all district stakeholders. This messaging system shall be used at the discretion of the district and/or building administrators.
Mobile App: This will allow you to get detailed information send directly to you on the app and get alerted (if you have them turned on) when new information is sent out. You need to download the app on your iPhone or Android. Once downloaded, make sure and go into notifications and Follow Schools.
E-News The district has created monthly communication for families. This platform was designed to be inclusive of all student activities, staff accomplishments/recognitions, and any major messaging that needs to be sent to the broader community.
Social Media: The district focuses on three social media platforms to deliver its messaging—Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. These platforms will encompass the student and staff accomplishments, important events, and any other major news throughout the week. The usage of these platforms is designed to be inclusive of all student activities, staff accomplishments/recognitions, and any major messaging that needs to be sent to the broader community.
Crisis Communication: The district’s number one priority is student and staff safety. There are procedures in place for when and how to communicate with the appropriate stakeholders. In any and all situations, the district will communicate with the appropriate authorities to ensure that the number one priority is met. When appropriate, the district will notify those who are directly affected by the situation and will create a generalized message for the greater community.
How to reach us: We are always happy to have a conversation with any district stakeholder. Please feel free to give us a call at 417-476-2555 or email communications@pcschools.net and we will address your concern as needed.
