The counseling lesson for the month of February focuses on body safety and abuse prevention. This is a difficult but necessary lesson that touches on what children should do if involved in unsafe situations. Hello Parents and Guardians,
We are so proud to partner with the American Heart Association and have our school participate in the Kids Heart Challenge this year, formerly known as Jump Rope for Heart.
We need your help to make this event a success. You can help by going online at www2.heart.org/goto/piercecity, or by downloading the free Kids Heart Challenge mobile app, to register your child and help them take the heart challenge.
Our goal is to have 100% of our students/faculty take their heart healthy challenge online to do a good deed, drink more water, or exercise more. If we have over 50% of our students accept the challenge, we will earn an extra $300 for PE equipment. We currently have about 93 students who have registered online, so we only need about 40 more to do so. It's absolutely free, and your child will earn a free wristband just for doing it. And when a student takes the challenge, they will become a Heart Hero!
Once your child is registered, he/she will have the option to solicit donations from friends and families in support of the life-saving work of the American Heart Association.
