With only one day until the start of school, Pierce City School District is excited to welcome our students and families back! As everyone returns to our buildings, we want to share a few important safety updates for the new school year.

New Visitor Management System

A new Visitor Management System has been installed at our schools. All visitors will need to bring a state-issued ID when visiting a school building.

A check-in tablet is located near the secretary’s window. Visitors will scan their ID using the tablet, and a small printer will print a visitor badge to be worn while in the building.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation as we begin using this new system to help provide a safe and secure environment for our students and staff.

Crosswalk Upgrades

We would also like to thank the City of Pierce City for upgrading the crosswalks near our schools with preformed thermoplastic markings. These improvements provide more visible and durable crosswalk markings for our students, families, and community members.

As school begins, we encourage drivers to slow down, stay alert in school zones, and watch carefully for students and pedestrians using the crosswalks.
