Pierce City Track & Field Excels at Missouri Class 2 State Championships

The Pierce City Eagles Track & Field team capped off an outstanding season with a strong showing at the Missouri Class 2 State Championships, held in Jefferson City. A total of 21 athletes qualified for the state meet, a remarkable accomplishment that highlights the depth and talent of this year’s team.

Among the standout performances was Paige Fenske, who earned three medals across a range of field events. Fenske placed 5th in the Long Jump, 6th in the Triple Jump, and 7th in the Pole Vault, showcasing her versatility and consistency at the highest level of competition.

Emma Hunt delivered an impressive distance double, finishing 2nd in the 1600-meter run and 5th in the 3200-meter run, earning points and praise for her endurance and determination.

Several other athletes earned top-10 finishes in their events:

  • The Girls 4x800-meter relay team placed 10th overall, putting in a strong performance against tough competition.

  • Liliana Lasker secured a 10th-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a PR, capping off a season of steady improvement.

  • Cruz Ibarra earned a 9th-place finish in the Javelin, narrowly missing a medal and proving himself among the state’s best.

As the season comes to a close, Pierce City celebrates not only the medals and results but also the dedication, growth, and spirit of every athlete who contributed to a memorable track and field season.
