Girls Basketball Schedule Update
The Girls Basketball team will not be participating in the jamboree tonight in Crane.

The JH girls basketball game scheduled for Monday, November 9th at Lockwood has been postponed to Tuesday, December 15th due to illness.

Parents please encourage your students to sit with you at the football game this evening. We want to keep our students and spectators safe as we cheer on the EAGLES!

The Lady Eagles take on Sarcoxie tonight at 5:30. The varsity game will be played first followed by the JV game. Immediately following the JV game the Football team will host their annual homecoming week jersey auction. Come out tonight and support your Eagles and Lady Eagles!

ATTENTION SENIORS: This is a message from Mrs. Lathem: The Shelter Insurance Scholarship is due Thursday 4/9. Mrs. Lathem will be at school to answer any questions on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 am or you can email her with any questions or concerns.

Due to Good Friday this week, the FREE Meals will be handed out Monday - Thursday from 9:30 - 10:30 am. Please call the school if you need deliveries.

Following the recommendations of the Health Department, PC Schools will be closed through April 24th. This continues to include all extracurricular activities. Meals will still be served Tuesday- Friday, 9:30-10:30 am.

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy! Just a few updates: Meals will be served this week from 9:30-10:30 am. Learning packets are available for your child. School offices will be on a modified schedule starting tomorrow. Voicemails and emails will be responded to daily.

Don't forget, we are serving lunch from 11 to 11:30 today. Park in front of the HS Office and someone will bring you a bag with food prepared by our kitchen staff! This is free to all students. Call the school office if you can't pick it up, and someone will deliver it.

Following the recommendations of the Lawrence County Health Department, Pierce City Schools will be closed through April 3rd. This includes all extracurricular activities. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this strange time. We will be communicating updates in the near future, so again, thank you for your patience. Stay safe!

PCHS students who have a C- or above in ALL classes, and have missed 14 or less blocks of time (classes) can be exempt from taking finals. All teachers have access to the exempt list if you want to ask them for your status. We cannot post the list on a public forum due to FERPA federal guidelines about student confidentiality.

Pierce City Schools are cancelled for Tuesday, December seventeenth due to unsafe road conditions. Special Note, The Superintendents Office will be open from 8 am to 5 pm for Board Candidate Filing. Call 417-476-2555 with any questions tomorrow.

Due to the National Weather Service forecast of snow and sleet, Pierce City will not have school today.

A heating system malfunction activated the high schools fire detection system. The school has been evacuated while our PC fire department makes sure the building is safe! Classes will resume again after a few more minutes. In the meantime, students are enjoying the sunshine and fresh air!

Friday’s football game at Pleasant Hope has been cancelled. Due to injuries and sickness the Pirates are forced to forfeit the game. The EAGLES will open districts at home on 11/1 against TBD.

There will be a Junior High Girls Basketball Parent meeting on Monday,October 21st, from 6:30-7:30pm in the high school cafeteria. If you are unable to attend you will need to setup a time to meet with Coach Curry individually.

Lancer Classic Update
Because of the weather coming in this weekend, PC girls will now play tomorrow at 4:00. The PC boys game has been moved up to Thursday at 4:00. Both teams will play on Friday with times TBD.

The Boys & Girls basketball teams travel to Purdy tonight for a non-conference game. The games will start at 5 and the schedule is Girls Varsity, Boys JV, & Boys Varsity.
Construction on the new high school office will begin January 7th. During the time of construction the high school doors visitors enter will be closed. All visitors must enter through the middle school doors. We appreciate your cooperation during the building project. Thank you
Pierce City Booster Club will hold a meeting at 6:00 pm December 17 in the high school cafeteria. Spring fundraiser and reconfiguring the football concession stand will be topics. All patrons are welcome.

The Pierce City Schools would like to invite you to a meeting where we will be looking at some drawings and ideas for improving the football stadium entrance, concessions, parking, and accessibility. This meeting will be on December 11, at 6:00 pm in the Cafeteria for anyone interested. Architects, Richard Werner and Jim Rutledge will be there to present drawings and gather more community feedback to create the improvements at the stadium. FALL BONFIRE
We will have our annual bonfire tonight 10/26/2018 after the football game. It will be down by the grade school. All students and families are welcome to come and enjoy the evening.

We had a minor school bus accident this morning around 7:45 am. The students, bus driver, and the driver of the other vehicle are safe and there were no injuries. Please contact the Superintendent's Office with any questions.

We are proud to announce that the PCHS football team and coaches are the 2018 Undefeated Southwest Conference Champions. We are celebrating with shirts to show our PC pride. The Pierce City School District is seeking input from the community to improve the entrance to the football field in addition to making the Stadium easier to access. We will have a meeting on October 9th at 6:00 in the Cafeteria for anyone interested.

Due to the huge student success of the 2nd chance breakfast, the middle/high school will serve only Grab & Go breakfasts at 9:00 beginning Nov 28th and will discontinue the before school breakfast.
