A reminder to 3rd/4th grade Eagle Choir parents that t-shirt orders are due on Friday, February 1st.   They are $10 each & the t-shirts will be worn for performances. Thanks!

Our Kid's Heart Challenge kicked off today and will run through February 15.  This is an opportunity for your child to earn some fun prizes while at the same time helping kids who were born with less than healthy hearts.  Please go to

http://www2.heart.org/goto/piercecity to find Pierce City and register your child.  Just for doing that, your child will earn a free glow-in-the-dark bracelet. We've already had 23 students register online!  Let's encourage all of our kids to be Heart Heroes.  Go to the following link to meet this year's Heart Hero, Finn.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BT8UG88nMPk&t=5s

The Pierce City FFA is selling flower arrangements for Valentine's Day again this year. Please contact the Ag Department (hdeornellis@pcschools.net), 417-476-2515) or fill out the google form to order your flowers! Orders are due on 1/30. Follow this link to the google form: https://tinyurl.com/ycu5xwku

Thank you for supporting the Pierce City FFA.

This year, Pierce City Elementary will be participating in a nationwide event called The Great Kindness Challenge.  The Great Kindness Challenge is one week dedicated to creating a culture of kindness on campuses nationwide.  This year's event runs from January 28-February 1.   Each child will be given a kindness checklist and challenged to complete as many kind acts as possible over the course of the week.  In addition to the kindness checklist, we will have a special theme each day to add a little fun.  I would invite you to add extra meaning to this year's challenge by having your own kindness challenge at home in conjunction with the event.  Here is a list of the themes for the week.

  •  Tuesday-Kicking off Kindness-wear mismatched socks and shoes
  •  Wednesday-Make Kindness a Pattern-wear clothes with patterns (polka dots, stripes, plaid, camo, etc.)
  • Thursday-Team Up for Kindness-wear your favorite team or team colors (No Chief's clothing please 😊)
  • Friday-Kindness Counts-wear clothing with numbers

I hope everyone has a great time with this event!  Together, let's show the world that...KINDNESS MATTERS
