The Pierce City Eagles traveled to Purdy to play in their tournament on Tuesday, March 19th. They competed against Pea Ridge (Arkansas). It was very misty and cold but the Eagles battled it out for the game that was scheduled to start at 7. In the 1st inning the Eagles jumped on them early going up 4-0. In the second the Eagles gathered 3 more to extend the lead to 7. Then in the 3rd, Hunter Tindell hit a grand slam over the right field wall. Pea Ridge bounced back and scored 5 in the 3rd. The Eagles lead was trimmed to 13-5. After the 3rd Gabriel George’s game on the mound ended. He pitched a good game and battled through some long innings. Donnel Kleiboeker came in for the 4th and 5th allowing just 3 runs. The final score was 22-8, after the Eagles had two more big innings.

The Eagles next game is Tuesday, March 20 as they play Purdy in the Purdy Tournament.
