The Eagles season came to an end on Saturday night in the District Championship game. Their opponent was the Purdy Eagles. Pierce City came out of the gates very well going up 19-6. However, Purdy went on a 18-1 run starting with 3 minutes in the 1st quarter. By halftime Purdy was in the lead by 3 points. Pierce City then tied up the came to end the 3rd which started a very back and forth 4th quarter. The lead changed 9 times in the span of 8 minutes. However, once the clocked rolled down the Purdy Eagles were the District 12 Champions.

Pierce City had a great season however, they were SRVC champions and had a terrific 22-9 record. They were the first team in school history to go into districts with 20 wins. Even though it was not the ending we were hoping for, or expecting, the Eagles had a great season.
