A Win Slips Away from Junior High Football

The Junior High Eagles lost yet another close one. They are now 0-3 on the season, however, all losses coming by just one touchdown. This loss being 22-16. For the game, they traveled to Miller. Tory Davis and Peyton Moening led the offensive charge. Tory had a 45 yard touchdown run, followed by a 2 point conversion pass to Peyton Moening. The other touchdown was a pass from Tory to Peyton, followed by a 2 point conversion that Tory ran in. Coach Abromovitz gave out this week's MVP to a defensive player, Licoln Johnson.

Licoln is a 7th grader and he is the nose guard for the Pierce City defense. He said his philosophy on defense is to fire off the ball and play hard. Licoln also said that the team needs to work on blocking and for everyone to play hard throught the entire game. His favorite part about football is hitting someone; he also plays baseball and he swims.

Pierce City Junior High travels to Lockwood next week at 5 p.m.
